Project Enrich is a summer program offered to selected students entering eighth grade in September at the Hammonton Middle School. Funds from our district’s No Child Left Behind grant pay for all expenses of the program. Our goal is to effectively utilize the grant money to meet the needs of our students.  Students are able to strengthen their science, math, and language arts skills in a technology rich learning environment. We have five teachers, one behavioral therapist, and a program administrator to assist with the delivery of instruction.

During a typical Project Enrich day, students rotate through a schedule comprised of three class periods.  They have a woodshop class in which they apply math concepts to design and physically construct projects.  There is also a class where students utilize the Internet and the daily newspaper to monitor stocks and calculate the scores of their Fantasy Baseball lineups.  We have another class where students receive instruction in language arts and science.  Several days each week, the students participate in teambuilding activities.
