/main/images/notebookapple.jpgDear Sixth and Seventh Graders,

Welcome to sixth grade and welcome to Hammonton Middle School. We anticipate an exciting year where learning will be fun, challenging, and rewarding.  Your team of teachers will do everything possible to help you have a successful year.  To get a good start in the coming year, we ask that you come prepared to school with the following supplies:

Please select the read more link below to view the Hammonton Middle School 6th Grade and 7th Grade Supply Letter.

  • Medium grade page protectors
  • One package of highlighters {any color}
  • A supply of #2 pencils {to be refilled as needed}
  • A supply of blue or black ink pens { to be refilled as needed}
  • A supply of loose-leaf notebook paper {enough for the year}
  • One 12 inch ruler
  • A soft zippered pencil case, with three holes, for each binder
  • A three hole punch that clips in the binder
  • Three {3} to five {5} 1 to 1 ½ inch three ring binders {some may be shared between two classes, but the breakdown is: 1-math, 1-science, 1-social studies, 2-language arts}
This size is requested because 2 inch and larger binders are too large and usually fall apart more quickly than the smaller binders.  That is why one huge binder for all subjects is not a good idea.
  • Seven pocket folders with holes
  • A package of dividers
  • Covers for all books
  • Crayons, markers, and colored pencils
  • One nylon mesh gym bag {optional}
  • A Texas Instruments Calculator {TI-34 II} highly recommended for home use
  • Two {2} composition books {no spiral} for language arts
All students will be issued an agenda book on the first day of school.  The agenda is both the student handbook and the student assignment book.  The use of this book is required throughout the school year.  Our School Store will stock many of these items throughout the school year should you need to replace them.  Also, textbooks must be covered by paper bags or Book Sox by the end of the first week of school.  Books are to remain covered throughout the entire year.

Have a great summer.  We look forward to meeting you in September!
