On Wednesday, May 7th, Mrs. Gauntt's 7th grade enrichment life science classes joined with Hammonton's Green Committee and the Water Watch organization of New Jersey through Stockton College to test the water of Hammonton Lake. The students tested for water quality through a series of chemical tests and physical assessments of the area. They also analyzed the macro-invertebrates found in the shallow waters to determine if the species found were pollution-intolerant or pollution-tolerant. It was a beautiful day to visit the park and learn about the lake and the condition of the water.
